Understanding The Concepts Of “Sharia” And “Jihad” Correctly

The word “sharia” has become the reason for major apprehension and fear, especially in Western societies, for quite some time now. When you speak of sharia, what comes to people’s mind is such acts as killing, stoning, slitting people’s throats and oppressing women and depriving them of their rights, especially the right to education. In fact, this situation is due to not knowing the true Islam as described in the Qur’an and seen in the practices of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and it derives its strength from the centuries-long presentation of the dark, extremist mindset’s ongoing practices as sharia. But how are we supposed to understand what sharia and jihad truly mean?
Sharia: The path to follow
Sharia literally means “the path that leads to water; method; tradition.” It is described in the Qur’an as the life-giving path God enjoined on the Prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). (Qur’an, 42:13) A Muslim can easily tell what “path” to follow by looking at the Qur’an. Few things are forbidden in the Qur’an, and these are made clear with explicit prohibitions; none of them are open to discussion or interpretation. This is one important characteristic of the Qur’an. For example, killing, adultery, earning interest, eating pork or drinking blood are all unlawful actions revealed in verses of the Qur’an in explicit and definitive terms. For this reason, those who aim to come up with prohibitions by interpreting verses in light of their own desires invariably refer to some scholastic explanations, dubious accounts with uncertain sources and fabricated hadiths and proceed to produce their own deductions from them. God reveals the existence of people with this mindset in the Qur’an:
Do not say about what your lying tongues describe: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” inventing lies against God. Those who invent lies against God are not successful. (Qur’an, 16:116)
Following the time of our Prophet (pbuh), numerous communities emerged who, as described in the verse, “invented lies against God.” These people, who didn’t take the Qur’an as their guide, produced an entirely different conception of Islam by inventing various lawful and unlawful things. The system which is imposed today as “sharia,” but which in fact completely conflicts with Islam and encourages oppression, tyranny and violence, is a result of turning away from the Qur’an. The “true sharia” which is explained in the verses of the Qur’an, that is, the true path of the Qur’an, can be defined in this way:
The sharia of the Qur’an means love, respect, and affection and protection toward people of all faiths and opinions. The sharia of the Qur’an insists upon democracy and freedom of thought. Under the sharia of the Qur’an, people are knowledgeable, educated, open-minded, respectful of other ideas, modern and high quality; they value art and aesthetics and they also value unity, love and friendship. There is no hatred, intolerance, conflict, despotism, imposition, intimidation, or war in the sharia of the Qur’an. In the sharia of the Qur’an there is absolute justice, equality, as well as rendering back the trusts to those who are due. There is no bribery or favoritism. It is forbidden to impose a belief by force in definitive terms in the Qur’an; everyone is free in their own faith, choices and lifestyle. Islamic sharia offers people a life in which a Muslim, a non-Muslim, an atheist, an unbeliever or a pagan all can live freely.
But is there any Islamic country compatible with the sharia of the Qur’an in the world today? Of course there isn’t. Perhaps the names of a few Islamic countries which are considered to be governed under sharia law come to people’s minds, but in fact a conception of law which has nothing to do with the sharia as defined in the Qur’an but which is instead oppressive, tyrannical and unjust, and not giving women the right to a normal life, rules in these countries.
The sharia defined in the Qur’an has not been applied since the time of our Prophet (pbuh). The countries claiming that they are governed under sharia law or those extremist and radical groups that seek to enforce a “sharia” in line with their ideas are actually very far removed from the sharia of the Qur’an: Therefore, they cannot support the oppression, violence and outlandish rules they apply with evidence from the Qur’an and they are merely basing them upon their ulama (religious scholars), general consensus, the tribal notions of their ancestors and their cultural customs and traditions; that is to say, upon various traditions which are in conflict with the Qur’an.
What should the “jihad” of a Muslim be?
Groups or people who embrace extremist or radical ideologies misinterpret the concept of “jihad” just as they do with sharia. Under the jihad which our Lord reveals in the Qur’an, there is no killing, bombing or suicide bombers; under the jihad of the Qur’an there is not violence, oppression, intimidation, or hatred. Islam, contrary to what fanatics describe, is not a faith reeking of death, hatred and rage. These distortions are later additions to Islam, which is in fact based on pure revelation. Therefore, if a person says, “I have learned it from the Qur’an; I should kill, massacre or use violence against anyone who does not think like me”, this person is simply not telling the truth, because this person adheres not to Islam, but to an entirely different faith, an invented pseudo-religion whose source is not the Qur’an. Everything in this faith is completely dark: There is hatred instead of love, rage instead of compassion, enmity instead of brotherhood, and ignorance instead of art, aesthetics, science and culture. It is very easy to put a weapon in the hands of a person who believes in such a faith, to say to him, “That community over there is your enemy,” to incite him to violence and thus build fanatical sects and armed groups.
So, how did this radical and bigoted mindset emerge? The miseducation of a great part of the Islamic world with this wrong-headed concept and far too many Muslims not being genuinely aware of the Qur’an properly are the reasons for the emergence of this mindset. These people have been left ignorant, ghettoized and kept far away from arts, science and human values. They have considered those who do not think as they do and have different lifestyles as their enemies. They have misunderstood both the sharia and the jihad and applied them wrongly. Most of them have not read the Qur’an, even once. They have deluded themselves to be on the truest path despite the fact that they have merely applied what they learned from their ignorant and bigoted ancestors, someone the Qur’an warns against. They have never stopped to think that they have badly damaged themselves, their religion, their families, their communities, and of course, other people. However, the jihad described in the Qur’an is very different from what these radical bigots consider it as.
The word jihad comes from the Arabic word “jahd.” It means “to work, to strive, to exhibit determination and persistence or self-sacrifice.” Waging jihad in Islam means striving to inform people about the truth of the faith, to teach people proper moral values and to turn them away from evil. While doing this, a Muslim must also train his own lower-self in the direction of moral virtue and strive to be a good person and remove himself from rage and hatred. In other words, jihad means to train oneself on the one hand, while simultaneously striving to teach people truth and goodness on the other. What is principally important in Islam is that this spiritual jihad is carried out intellectually.
The word “jahd” is not used in any other meaning apart from the above in any part of the Qur’an. Therefore, those who are now slaughtering people in the name of jihad, taking their own lives as well as those of defenseless civilians as suicide bombers or inciting war are committing a grave sin; this is easily proved in the verses of the Qur’an. Yet most of them do this because of their ignorance and because they simply do not know the true Islam that is described in the Qur’an. That’s why it is essentially an exercise in futility to kill, bomb, imprison or exile these people. What is important is to eliminate the underlying mindset upon which extremism thrives. The core problem is that extremists, both as individuals and as groups, have never been educated in the Qur’an and they do not understand the law of God. Since that is the fundamental problem, so long as these false views persist, there will be radicals who are ignorant of what they do. Therefore the only thing that those who spread violence and terror under the name of jihad need is a proper education; they must be taught the true sharia and the beautiful path of the faith.
Those who think the problem of extremism is inherent in Islam are causing the swamp to grow even further by thinking that the solution to radical terror is to kill these people; these attacks do nothing but cause the further strengthening of radicalism. The solution is certainly not to take a back seat after saying, “Well, Islam is not this; Islam is the religion of peace” as some Muslims do; nor is it to be found in endless conferences and ceaseless debate on some terms and concepts. The solution is to explain the true Islam described in the Qur’an to these extremist groups and people, to educate them and thus turn them away from the radical mindset, and to start an educational campaign that genuinely addresses the root of the problem. There is a problem of a false belief system that has crept into Islam and false beliefs can only be done away with by replacing them with true ones to be found in the Qur’an.

The Solution To Terror In Pakistan

http://www.diplomacypakistan.com/articles/the-solution-to-terror-in-pakistan/

By Harun Yahya
Having been home to several civilizations, the nation known today as Pakistan is a country with a rich cultural and historical fabric. Its strategic importance is also growing by the day, as it stands at the intersection of the Middle East, and Central and Southeast Asia, which play such an important role in world politics, or in other words, along the world’s oil corridors. Yet since it harbors numerous ethnic communities that share a common Islamic faith but are not properly welded together, the country is also the scene of much conflict based on sectarian divisions. In particular, there is an unending power struggle between Punjabis, Sindhis, Baluchis and Pashtuns. Add to this the tensions caused by problems such as tribal affiliations, political and sectarian divisions and ethnicity, acts of terror by al-Qaeda and the Taliban, ongoing border disputes with India, the departure of what was East Pakistan under the new name of Bangladesh, endless conflicts of the Afghan border and economic difficulties, and life in Pakistan becomes highly problematic.
In addition, as a country that has spent half of its 68-year political history under military rule, Pakistan deserves credit for the steps it has taken toward democracy in recent years. Power in Pakistan, which spent decades deprived of democracy since independence in 1947 and has regularly witnessed coups, first changed hands through elections in May 2013. For the first time, an elected government managed to serve out its entire term, meaning that Pakistan had successfully taken the first step on the long road to democracy.
Another success of the elections was the 60% turnout. Before the elections, the Pakistan Taliban killed more than 130 people, including electoral candidates, and spread terror throughout the country. Even so, the public risked their lives to get to the ballot boxes, and the election duly took place, albeit under the shadow of acts of terror. This high turnout revealed how seriously the population desired democracy. The army, a formidable presence even under 34 years of civilian rule, restored the people’s confidence in it through its support for the democratic process.
Clear efforts are being made to achieve democracy in the country. However, there are still many problems that need to be solved, such as a lack of consensus on the form that relations between the state and religion should take, religious, sectarian and ethnic clashes and basic issues of identity, and other questions that need to be addressed promptly arising from Pakistan’s federal system, such as power imbalances between the provinces.
Terror-in-Pakistan
Pakistan’s greatest problem is the Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan, or Pakistan Taliban. This organization has come to represent a major threat to national security with its attacks in recent years, is weakening the country, damaging its prestige at the global level and placing Pakistan at the top of the terror lists. Following an airport attack in June 2014, the Taliban attracted the attention of the entire world public with an attack on a school in Pashawar in December, in which 148 innocent people lost their lives, mostly children and teachers. It then led to the deaths of dozens more people one month later in an attack on a Shiite mosque and in an assault last month on a Catholic school in the city of Lahore.
The government restored the death penalty last month, and many Taliban members have been executed. While anti-terror operations were taking place, Pakistan experimented with its first own domestically produced drones, and the General Staff announced that they would be more effective in the fight against terror from now on.
Pakistan, which will now be producing its own unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has in fact long been the target of drone attacks that have caused the deaths of a good many innocent people in attacks on civilian areas. American UAVs have carried out some 400 attacks in Pakistan over the last 11 years and have led to the deaths of more than 3,400 people, the majority of them civilians. According to the London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism (BIJ), 61% of the targets in drone attacks have been civilian settlements. UAVs are known to mainly target civilian buildings such as homes, madrassas and mosques. Susan Schuppli, a senior researcher, says that the real victims of UAVs are civilian women and children caught in homes when they are bombed. Amnesty International also says that the UAV operations conducted by the USA are a violation of international law, and may even fall under the category of war crimes. Yet despite all these condemnations, the buying and selling of UAVs between countries is growing all the time.
Terror-in-Pakistan
Countries are blatantly and carelessly ignoring the fact that the killing of civilians is murder. They have ostensibly convinced themselves that this is the only way of dealing with terror organizations. Yet even if security measures are sometimes instrumental in success against individuals involved in radical terror organizations, they do not get rid of the organizations themselves; the problem of terror cannot be resolved through force alone. In particular, radical organizations with false conceptions of religion, such as the Pakistani Taliban, are bodies that harbor people with an ideology, albeit a false one, and who are even prepared to die for these false values which they believe to be true. Therefore, so long as the false ideas they hold are not neutralized by true ideas, it is impossible for such organizations to be eliminated.
What needs to be done at this point is to make it clear that the ideas espoused by terror organizations, who as a general rule act out of a radical and erroneous conception of religion, have no place in Islam and that the way of thinking they have developed in the light of fabricated hadiths and other nonsense is in no way compatible with Islam. Islam is a religion of love, brotherhood, affection, compassion, tolerance, peace, union and unity. The correct solution is to adopt a policy of education in which these facts are set out with full supporting evidence from the Qur’an, the true source of Islam. Indeed, regarding UAVs as the answer – and imagining that responding to violence with more violence can put an end to terror – will in fact create an even greater danger.
Terror-in-Pakistan
We hope that our brother country, Pakistan, with which we share a common culture and values, will soon resolve all its problems, and particularly the scourge of terror, that it will take sound steps on the passage to democracy and that the country’s innocent and sincere people will soon attain the security they deserve.

Bigots’ Futile Attempts to Discredit Art

Painting belongs to Jesús Enrique Helguera | Mexican Classical Painter
Bigots’ Futile Attempts to Discredit Art

Bigots take it on themselves to banish everything and every one that represents beauty and aesthetics. To be able to do that, they didn’t hesitate to forge fake hadiths shamelessly attributed to Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).

Through these false hadiths the fanatics make painting and sculpture unlawful for Muslims. Indeed, according to some fabricated hadiths, painters are regarded as among those who will suffer the worst torment in the hereafter. According to this perverse perspective, these people have attributed divinity to themselves, may God forbid, by imitating His creations. Yet what possible connection could there be between a painter or sculpture producing a work of art and claims of divine status? If a painter or a sculptor does make such a perverse claim, that can only be because of weakness of mind or soul, not because of the art he produces. And that is a possibility that applies to all people and all members of professions.

The people who will receive the severest punishment from God will be the picture makers. (Sahih Bukhari, Book 72, Hadith 834)

Whoever makes a picture will be punished by God till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.

(Sahih Bukhari, Book 34, Hadith 428)

The most grievously tormented people on the Day of Resurrection would be the painters of pictures.

(Sahih Muslim, Book 24, Hadith 5270)

The painter of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, “Make alive what you have created.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Book 93, Hadith 646)

The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures.

(Sahih Bukhari, Book 34, Hadith 318)

All the painters who make pictures would be in the fire of hell. The soul will be breathed in every picture prepared by him and it shall punish him in the hell.

(Sahih Muslim, Book 24, Hadith 5272)

All the beauties in nature are works of art made by our Almighty Lord. We realize how glorious art can be by looking at these works of our Lord’s. In fact, almost every technology present in the world has been developed by imitating God’s creation. The existence of things created is a blessing for technology. For example, people imitate birds and some species of fly created by God when manufacturing airplanes. Since these planes were inspired by living things, they possess perfect flying abilities and maneuverability. This is an advantage because there are already perfectly functioning models in nature. This is a gift bestowed by God as a blessing on all engineers.

Despite all the scientific advances that make our lives easier and more comfortable, today’s world of technology is simply a copy of these works of art in nature. God has created the models in nature and the technological copies of them as blessings for us.

The reason for the way that fanatics target the art of sculpture in particular actually lies in a tradition inherited from the past. In the past, when idol-worship was widespread, some rulers took measures against making statuettes in order to prevent people from worshiping idols. These measures, intended to avert potential dangers in these societies in the past, were literally propagated as a commandment of the faith, even though there is no such prohibition in the Qur’an. That is one of the worst pieces of damage caused by some people who prefer their traditions to the Qur’an.

We do not deprive ourselves of fire or the Sun just because Magians worship fire and other people worship the Sun, or we don’t kill cows just because Hindus have sacred cows so it is a genuinely primitive way of thinking to ban all statues just because there are some pagans who worship idols. What is wrong is to deify objects and other entities, and people who do that are those who commit unlawful deeds, not the objects themselves.

The arts of painting and sculpture that the fanatics prohibit for Muslims are most definitely not unlawful according to the Qur’an, the Book that is the guide for all Muslims. God loves art and causes His servants to love it; He has created the whole universe with art. There are no verses in the Qur’an that make fine arts such as painting and sculpture unlawful. On the contrary, works of art are praised in the Qur’an.

Statues and works of art praised as examples of majesty in the palace of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) appear as follows in the Qur’an:

They made for him anything he wished: high arches and statues, huge dishes like cisterns, great built-in cooking vats. “Work, family of David, in thankfulness!” But very few of My servants are thankful.
(Surah Saba’, 13)

The fanatics who ban these arts – despite these verses of the Qur’an – need to say what they think about the Prophet Solomon (pbuh), who had extraordinarily lovely statues in his palace.

These peddlers of superstition have wreaked great damage on Islamic societies. The Islamic world never managed to develop after the spread of such superstition about sculpture and painting. Societies that cannot develop art remain frozen, soulless and atrophied; they are closed to novelty. They gradually lose their creativity, ability to think practically and understanding of detail. Coldness and lack of taste are reflected in the places where they live and the way in which they behave toward one another. As a result of their turning their backs on art, monotony, coldness and lack of taste, devoid of grace, predominate in the dark world of the fanatics.

What is the difference between Islam as advocated by ISIS and the Islam we preach?

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated dated February 05th, 2015
There is the kind of Islam advocated by ISIS and the Islam as we preach it. All the world embraces the Islam that we preach but the world responds to the Islam preached by ISIS via airstrikes. This is not the kind of Islam that people can live by but the Islam as we preach will save the world. There is love, there is peace, there is brotherhood, there is goodness, beauty, arts, aesthetics. Women are made as pearls in men’s crowns, women are free, kids are free, young boys are free, there is joy everywhere. But in the traditionalist, ultra-orthodox conception of Islam, everything is grave, everywhere is a place of torment, having just enough to keep body and soul together, it is the other name of devastation; [According to this mindset] everyday one needs to go to suffering, through afflictions, in many cases filth is everywhere. Pain and agony have infiltrated all the grounds. Laughter is banned, being joyful is banned. Painting, music, TV, everything beautiful that comes to your mind are all banned. Hatred, rage, fury are free, beheading, butchering, cutting off a man’s head and showing it around are considered as 'normal'. Blood is everywhere; there is starvation, misery, cries everywhere. Hunger, misery, obnoxious, unaesthetic scenes, corruption; these are the horrible things peculiar to a great majority of traditionalist, ultra-orthodox Islam.
They present Islam as a religion of the grave. It is like the religion of terror. Once you are a Muslim, they think he will hang, beat, execute others and do nothing else. It is almost the hell of women. Women are devastated in the ultra-orthodox conception of Islam. They can neither sit, nor stand up, nor wear anything they want. Even eating is an offense. They say that if they make women eat too much, they will become depraved, they will be  trouble. If you make them put on beautiful clothes, they will go astray and attempt to go out. You should make them put on bad clothes so that they would feel embarrassed and not go out. If a window is looking out onto the street, then it must be covered with bricks. They say that is what the Companions of our Prophet (saas) did. Notice that they also include the Companions in this lie; [According to them] the Companions saw their ladies looking onto the street through the window. Notice that they also defame the Companions of our Prophet (saas), the ladies of that time, may God forbid, as if they were looking for men and the Companions prevented it. They also insult them. And these guys believe in it as a provision of God. Now they put people into cages and burn them. And they say this is based on the practice of Hazrat Ali, a hadith: That is what comes to their minds when Islam is mentioned. Chopping people up, beheading, beating people until blood is shed, reviling, yelling, an absence of arts, aesthetics, dreadfulness, threat, scourges, corruption, all forms of outrageous acts. These things come to mind. Indeed, on a wide basis this is the structure we see.
HOST: On the NewsRescue website, there appeared the report about the English advertisements of your book “Bigotry” on London buses.
ADNAN OKTAR: That is fine. We are the only community who carries out such a reasonable work against bigotry. Many thanks to God. There are some who do, but they come up with  very perverted beliefs. They allege they advocate the Qur'an but what they preach is very deviant. This is unacceptable. They need to be loyal to the Qur'an; they should neither add nor delete anything. They need to convey whatever God says in the Qur'an.

Adnan Oktar: So long as Muslims keep standing against the arts, music and women’s choices about clothes, Islamophobia will occur all around the world

ADNAN OKTAR: So long as Muslims keep standing against music, against the arts and against women’s wearing revealing clothes - for instance, because my friends are wearing revealing clothes here, I receive lots of messages about them, even though the relatives, the mothers and the sisters of those people are also wearing such clothes, yet despite that, their subconscious is filled with those ideas. Europe is also fed up with them. These people are against sculpture, against painting, against music, against entertainment, against the laughter of women, against women going outside, wearing revealing clothes, against men cutting their beards, and the punishment (they see fit for those acts) is always death.
When this is the case, people feel terrified. Islam is misrepresented as a religion of terror. That is the reason why such an antipathy is formed. Then they call it  ‘Islamophobia.’ There is terrorophobia actually, people are terrified because of terror. You are spreading terror. What does it have to do with Islam? The things you are talking about have nothing to do with Islam. You are talking about a system of terror and you are misrepresenting it as Islam. You have named terror as Islam. There is compassion, mercy, love, arts, science, aesthetics,  beauty and everything in Islam.

Bigotry - The Dark Danger

The fanatics’ problem is that they learn their faith from specious superstition. However, those who criticize those fanatics are sometimes just as radical as them and believe in the accuracy of that same superstition. The more we produce evidence from the Qur’an, the more they try to produce their own from the superstition the fanatics subscribe to. That is where they make their gravest mistake. If they want to know the true Islam and find a solution to fanaticism, they must heed the true faith described here. Unless they do that, radicalism will continue to plague the world.

The idea that women are crooked

Woman has been created from a rib and will in no way be straightened for you; so if you wish to benefit by her, benefit by her while crookedness remains in her. And if you attempt to straighten her, you will break her, and breaking her is divorcing her. (Sahih Muslim, Book 8, Hadith 3467; an-Nasai)
The creation of human beings is described in detail in the Qur’an:
We created man from the purest kind of clay; then made him a drop in a secure receptacle; then formed the drop into a clot and formed the clot into a lump and formed the lump into bones and clothed the bones in flesh; and then brought him into being as another creature. Blessed be God, the Best of Creators! (Surat al-Muminun, 12-14)
No verse of the Qur’an says anything about woman being created from a rib bone and being crooked. In contrast to these terms employed by fanatics, our Almighty Lord reveals that men and women were created “in the best of forms:”
It is God Who made the earth a stable home for you and the sky a dome, and formed you, giving you the best of forms, and provided you with good and wholesome things. That is God, your Lord. Blessed be God, the Lord of all the worlds. (Surah Ghafir, 64)
The words “if you attempt to straighten her, you will break her” in the false hadith in question implies that she is crooked in both body and mind and can never be put right; however, no such words appear in the Qur’an. This shows the basis of the fanatics’ anger-filled attitude toward women.
The lesson we receive from the Qur’an is this; everyone, man or woman, has flaws and can make mistakes. According to the Qur’an, these flaws should be corrected by pointing them out in kindly language, showing the person what is right and wrong, and addressing the conscience of the person in question. Nobody has the right to cast anyone aside and say, “This person can never be put right.” Someone who does that and regards himself as superior may see that the person he regarded as “incorrigible” is actually in a better position than him in the Hereafter. Only God knows who is on the true path.
The fanatics’ superstitious belief that women are flawed and deficient right from the outset has been strengthened by the idea that it is also impossible for them to change subsequently. Many false hadiths therefore contain false information to the effect that good women are very few in number and that most women are not worthy of Paradise.

ISIL commits violence on the basis of false hadiths in the same way that the Christian Crusaders misinterpreted the Bible

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated October 20th, 2014
IS should act in the light of the Qur’an. They will do that when the time comes. They say they have a Muslim leader. They say they follow this person because it is a condition of Islam to have a leader [imam] at their head. They say they know the Mahdi has come. In other words, they are saying that he will not be someone who holds the kind of classic traditional orthodox conceptions of Islam they know and are familiar with. They say he will be different and that they will follow him. They say they are awaiting the appearance of the Mahdi, not his coming. God will bring about the appearance of the Mahdi. He will appear when God tells him to.
- IS say the Mahdi will come from Istanbul.
Adnan Oktar: They already said that Istanbul is the center. They did not know that before. They said they would take Istanbul. Then they accepted the situation when I explained it with the hadiths. They said they would not touch Turkey and Istanbul. Why not? Because the Mahdi is in Turkey. They are absolutely certain of that. They say Istanbul is the center. But IS will remain for a while as the dominant power in the region. All the Sunnis are joining them, but they are doing wrong. But IS’s cruelty is nothing like that of the PKK (a communist separatist terror organization). The wickedness of the PKK stems from them having no religious faith, whereas IS is wicked on the basis of false religious information.
It was the same with the old Christians. They changed and misinterpreted the Bible, and as a result carried out the Crusades. They martyred millions of Muslims. But they did that because their sources misinformed them, not out of cruelty alone. They strayed into a false belief because they believed wrongly. But the wickedness of the PKK derives directly from their godlessness. They are just evil. There is a difference between someone who is misinformed and someone who is purely evil. The difference needs to be properly understood.
- The Crusaders left not a single Muslim in Jerusalem in the 1099 Crusade.
Adnan Oktar: This is why it happened. Because they misconstrued the Bible. It stemmed from misunderstanding the faith. Those people were not devoid of religion or faith, godless and bookless. If only they had known or learned the truth. If they had learned the true love and affection in the Bible, they would have done the right thing. But they did not know them. They regarded killing as an article of faith.
- In your latest book, ‘Bigotry: The Dark Danger,’ you described all their false ideas. You responded to ‘false’ hadiths in the words of the Qur’an. It is a great blessing for them to have such a book. All problems could be resolved if Europe and America were to use this book to educate people.
Adnan Oktar: Look, I have made things incredibly easy. I have gone head to head with the fanatics and exposed all their abnormalities. But in fact they said not a word! IS, for example, is on the path of satan, and the Crusaders were also on that path.
- Aren’t those people awaiting Armageddon now in the same position?
Adnan Oktar: They are also under the influence of satan. What does Armageddon mean? There are only a handful of people in the world. What do you want from them? 'Almost everyone in the world will die,’ they say, ‘Only a handful of people will be left.’ The world has already grown old and turned into junk. What can you do with such a world? They want everywhere to be drowned in blood and everyone to die. Will that satisfy you if it happens? Will that relax you?
In Turkey people misunderstand America’s support [by providing weapons] for the PYD [a communist separatist terror organization]. The PYD imagines it is for its benefit. Yet they think there is need for the PYD for even more blood to be spilled. They intend to meet their need for intense bloodshed by means of the PYD. They use these people like experimental animals. And the PYD fail to realize.
-  People who think along those lines are saying, ‘When the prophet Jesus comes he will do away with these people, so let us kill them first.’ They do not hide it.
Adnan Oktar: Look, everything is quite clear. They say; ‘Let us help the Prophet Jesus and kill them first, so he does not have to tire himself.’ It is as simple as that. And the fools of the PYD believe it. But they first support the strong, and then the weak. When one side grows strong, they then bring the other side to an equivalent position and set them both against one another. Like a see-saw. The see-saw project is being put into action now. They put 100 grams on one side and then 100 grams on the other. They are kind of having fun with the Middle East. And the people of the region are completely fooled and taken in by it. Naïve commentators are fooled in the same way. They do not think deeply.
The secret state in Europe and America has gone crazy with the idea of setting Muslim against Muslim. They tell them to shed one another’s blood. But we will not shed blood, nor allow it to be shed. The savagery and insanity of thee people is beyond description. They insist on their shedding one another’s blood. But we will not do it. We do not want it.
- They say they will then kill the Jews.
Adnan Oktar: They gathered the Jews together in Israel. They plan to set 144,000 Jews aside and kill the rest. They want all the Jews to come to Israel and want Israel to be protected. Then the Jews think how wonderful these people who protect and watch over them are. But they say they want to get them all together in that land and then personally kill them.
- They say they will take up their swords and go to fight against Israel.
Adnan Oktar: The person who said that was a woman with modern opinions. She says we will personally slay them with our swords, but let us fill those lands with Jews first. The Jews have failed to understand. They like being protected. Yet they are preparing to slaughter them all. I told the people who are planning this that ‘I will bring the earth and sky down on you, you cannot do it.’ Those words of mine were heard everywhere. The fanatics also know I said it. They will definitely be unable to harm them.
