On the eve of the New Year, people wish to believe that things will change for better, a new order with emerge. “Let’s hope for a better year,” they say, that is a good intention, a fine expectation and a source of hope for them. That is what we also hope will happen, of course. Insha’Allah (God willing), 2015 will be a good year for the whole world.
This hope must be maintained; however, it must not be forgotten that a new year is not a magic wand to change the course of events. The difficulties we faced over the year, the toxic ideologies and slowly strengthening hatred, will not suddenly come to an end. We hope that 2015 will be a year when peace will reign, but we also need to do things to bring that about. We therefore need to cast our eyes briefly over what was done wrong in the difficult year 2014:
We entered 2014 with the Syrian civil war. The war, which began in 2011, is still going on, with no intervention from the outside and no proposed solution, and 2014 went down as the year that saw the worst losses in the Syrian war. The death toll has exceeded 200,000, and is known to be certainly very much higher.
The self-ascribed Islamic State (IS), born out of the Syrian civil war, founded a state of its own in 2014. Strategic areas of Syria and Iraq are now under its control. This terrorist organization, which rendered NATO, the UN and the super powers helpless, is the result of wrong western policies toward the Middle East.
The Ukraine crisis, the result of greed alone, ended in a nightmare for a fine European country and ended in nearly 3,000 dead. The EU, which sought to extend its influence in Ukraine while sidelining Russia but which also sat back and watched the internal conflicts, and Russia, which refuses to blink on the subject of its former allies, are still settling their accounts. The resurrection of the Cold War era rivalries appears to be the handiwork of the US deep state.
While all this was going on, the horror of Ebola also appeared, though initially it attracted little world interest. The international organizations believed that money set aside for a solution to the problem in poor countries would not “bring profit.” Vaccination campaigns only began toward the end of the year, after the disease started appearing in the US and Europe; and after more than 6,000 deaths.
In 2014, Crimea went under Russian control. Scotland made a bid for independence, but failed. While the Central African Republic (CAR) was the scene of murder and genocide, Boko Haram continued with its horrifying attacks in Nigeria. One action by Boko Haram, which attracted global condemnation, was the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls, of whom 223 are still in the custody of the terrorist organization.
While all this was going on, 748 people lost their lives in incidents in Iraq in March alone.
As the Israeli-Gaza conflict was making headlines, other conflicts were raging on in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. While all this was happening, a Malaysian jet disappeared, another was shot down over Ukraine, 289 people lost their lives in a ferry disaster in South Korea and 301 in the Soma mine disaster in Turkey. Millions of people were made refugees in 2014, and hundreds lost their lives while seeking refuge in new countries in rickety boats. People also starved to death in the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria.
As the number of refugees was rising and the world was being dragged into poverty, Europe began introducing laws to prevent the arrival of migrants. The European Parliament’s elections resulted in wins for extreme right and left wing parties rather than those from the center. Since being anti-migrant is regarded as a “vote winner” it became a popular policy with parties contesting the polls. Anti-migrant protests are still taking place in Germany in these last days of 2014. The economic crisis has had a devastating impact on countries such as Greece, Iceland, Greek Cyprus, Belgium and Italy, but has also affected the entire euro zone. Falling oil prices have affected Russia and the Middle East most of all.
NSA snooping records, pictures of torture perpetrated by the regime in Syria and finally the CIA torture report were all exposed documents that left their mark on 2014. But these actually said nothing new.
2014 was a difficult year. But when we look back, we see that a great many of these tragedies were the result of using violence against violence, selfishness in the face of ambition or a preference for self-interest over human life. Again when we look back, we see that all these tragedies served the world’s arms manufacturers and various lobbies that profit from the artificial Cold War climate that efforts are being made to establish. The savagery we witnessed over the year had perhaps never before been so wide-ranging and horrifying.
We will be entering 2015 with problems. Nothing is just going to vanish with a magic wand. If the policy of violence in the world persists, then nobody should be surprised if these incidents are multiplied many times over in the years ahead. If the global community and the super powers in particular, fails to learn from 2014 and insists on implementing the same failed policy, then this scourge afflicting almost all countries will continue to grow and become even more ghastly. The year 2014 teaches us is: Violence in the face of violence is leading the world to destruction. The means are wrong. The policy being applied needs to change. The source of the violence must be targeted, and an age of education using the language of love must begin. The scale of the horror means that we need to understand the sign given us by Allah. Unless the method changes, the years ahead will see even more sufferings and afflictions. It would be a shame to waste another tragic year in order to grasp this fact. Let us not forget that 2015 will change nothing; it is we who can be the instruments of change.
Adnan Oktar's piece on Arab News:

Adnan Oktar: So long as Muslims keep standing against the arts, music and women’s choices about clothes, Islamophobia will occur all around the world
ADNAN OKTAR: So long as Muslims keep standing against music, against the arts and against women’s wearing revealing clothes - for instance, because my friends are wearing revealing clothes here, I receive lots of messages about them, even though the relatives, the mothers and the sisters of those people are also wearing such clothes, yet despite that, their subconscious is filled with those ideas. Europe is also fed up with them. These people are against sculpture, against painting, against music, against entertainment, against the laughter of women, against women going outside, wearing revealing clothes, against men cutting their beards, and the punishment (they see fit for those acts) is always death.
When this is the case, people feel terrified. Islam is misrepresented as a religion of terror. That is the reason why such an antipathy is formed. Then they call it ‘Islamophobia.’ There is terrorophobia actually, people are terrified because of terror. You are spreading terror. What does it have to do with Islam? The things you are talking about have nothing to do with Islam. You are talking about a system of terror and you are misrepresenting it as Islam. You have named terror as Islam. There is compassion, mercy, love, arts, science, aesthetics, beauty and everything in Islam.

The fanatics’ problem is that they learn their faith from specious superstition. However, those who criticize those fanatics are sometimes just as radical as them and believe in the accuracy of that same superstition. The more we produce evidence from the Qur’an, the more they try to produce their own from the superstition the fanatics subscribe to. That is where they make their gravest mistake. If they want to know the true Islam and find a solution to fanaticism, they must heed the true faith described here. Unless they do that, radicalism will continue to plague the world.

Kashmir, described as a paradise because of its glorious natural beauties, has long been unable to shake off terror, poverty and conflict.
Jammu and Kashmir is a state in India with a majority Muslim population and an autonomous administration. It is also the main cause of hostility and tensions between India and Pakistan dating back 70 years. Although the space it occupies is very small, it all too often attracts the attention of the world. The same thing applies today. There are a number of reasons for this.
The Flood Disaster
A disastrous flood in September 2014 brought fresh devastation on Kashmir. Around 1,000 people lost their lives, hundreds of thousands were deprived of basic needs and tens of thousands of homes were destroyed or damaged. The aid from India and the Islamic world was far from meeting those needs. As a result, the lives of the already impoverished people of Kashmir were made even more difficult.
Another problem threatening the people of Kashmir is the alarmingly rising levels of substance use. Some 400,000 people between 18 and 35 are addicts. This is such a huge percentage of the population that it can almost eliminate an entire generation. In addition, the revenues from drugs finance and support armed conflict in Kashmir. A society is thus literally destroying itself.
It is suggested that the problem stems from Kashmir’s chronic difficulties, such as conflict, ignorance, poverty and unemployment. Although there is some truth to that, the real cause is that despite being Muslims, the young generation of Kashmiris are raised far from the true Islam and the moral values of the Qur’an.
Radical Hindu Nationalism
Since he took office in May as the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi’s policies have been closely watched by the entire world. One of the most prominent reasons is his policy towards Kashmir and Muslims. There is a good reason why Modi and his party, the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), are a cause for concern; fanatical Hindu nationalism.
A not inconsiderable number of BJP members come from radical and aggressive Hindu nationalist organizations. These organizations have a common aim; to impose Indian culture and Hinduism on Indian territory - using violence if necessary - and to eliminate or assimilate other ethnic minorities, cultures and faiths. Their acts of oppression, aggression and intimidation are particularly directed towards Muslims. Kashmiri Muslims have suffered much in the recent past for that reason.
Many extreme nationalist groups are still quite active in India. The RSS group - the epicenter of these groups - dates back 100 years; its supporters are highly aggressive towards minorities. Even more dangerously, the radical Hindu national group’s reach extends almost everywhere. Many people from the RSS are serving in politics, military and administrative units in India.
The RSS recently announced ‘purging’ projects and issued a statement saying, ‘We will purge Indian territory. There is no place in India for mosques and churches.’ That would be a disaster, not just for Kashmir, but for all of India.
The special status of Jammu and Kashmir is a very sensitive issue. This state has a different political structure than the other states of India. It enjoys special privileges enshrined and protected under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. It is the only state with an official flag and constitution. Citizens from other Indian states cannot buy land or property there. Its special status is of vital importance for Kashmir. The protection of the Kashmiri people’s national identity and their resistance to assimilation can therefore be possible. The Article in question is a barrier against the fascistic longings of radical Hindu nationalism.
The reports stating that the Indian government is considering revoking Article 370 are therefore very dangerous developments. That would mean revoking the basic rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people. Anyone can imagine the consequences; a civil war or perhaps a destructive war between nations. Such a war would have no winners, only losers.
Increasing Armed Conflict and Modi’s Stance
There are frequent reports of armed clashes and deaths from Kashmir. Deaths of civilians, resistance fighters and soldiers being killed, bloody and frequent border clashes between Indian and Pakistani troops, attacks on Indian military bases: These represent dangerous warning bells for the region, which had been relatively calm in the last few years. Bloody acts of violence taking place in Kashmir are reflections of the lovelessness prevailing across the world, and could smother these lands in darkness for many years.
A new local government will be formed in Jammu and Kashmir after the elections in December. The election process is going ahead, even though some Muslim groups are boycotting it. However, it seems unlikely that the new administration will have the power to resolve these giant problems. Deep-rooted problems can only be solved through mutual love, respect, tolerance and understanding of the related parties. The first step can be taken by the Indian government or rather by the Prime Minister Modi.
Modi is an assertive and ambitious politician. Even though he came to power by winning 31% of the votes, he has historic responsibilities. The most important task awaiting him is without doubt Kashmir. In contrast to previous prime ministers, he makes frequent visits to Kashmir and he has promised to develop Kashmir within five years. Of course prosperity and development are important for this impoverished region but it is not the answer to the intractable problem. New roads and facilities would have no significant meaning if Kashmiris do not attain peace, security and justice.
If Modi really wishes to open up new horizons for Kashmir, as he says, he can call on the radical Hindus who support him to put aside hatred and embrace love. India, the world’s largest democracy, can create a synergy in Kashmir based on respect, harmony, human rights and liberty as the requisite of democracy. The right thing to do for Modi is to heed the voice of the moderate and tolerant Indian majority and to take steps of peace and love in the name of bringing a permanent solution in Kashmir. Otherwise, radical Hindu demands may inflict irreparable suffering and losses on Kashmir and all of South Asia.

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated November 11th, 2014
Adnan Oktar: Is there anything good about the conflict between Palestine and Israel? Of course, there is. Our Prophet (pbuh) says in the hadiths that Muslims and Jews will fight and blood will be spilled. But then he says that all Jews, apart from a very few, will become Muslims. Why are you causing trouble for people who will become Muslims, my brother? The Qur’an says that a group of them espouses the truth. There are Jews who espouse the truth. The Imam Mahdi will take the Ark of the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and place it before the mosque in Jerusalem. Those Jews who see that, all but a very few, will become Muslims there and then. You should enjoy those glad tidings, my brother.
Has the Ark been found? There are people taking an interest, but it is being kept aside to be given to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). It is under special protection. It is being preserved. It has never been opened. Its cover and everything are all intact. The covering has never been removed. Nothing will be apparent when it is brought out and looked at from the outside.
The Knights Templars say they have a holy relic, but that they will only give it to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). When I asked the Templars where the Mahdi is, they said in Istanbul. They said in Rome, that it was written in their 1000-year-old book. They said they saw a light in Istanbul. They say that then there is someone important and of interest, that person is shown to them and they go and find him. They say they will find him, and it is impossible for him to remain hidden.
- Sanhedrin Court rabbis came to visit you. You welcomed them in the garden, and they said the King Messiah is in Istanbul and everyone should see him.
Adnan Oktar: Yes, the Jews are a holy people, descended from the prophets. Satan is responsible for this hatred against them. I mean, we love the line of our Prophet (pbuh), don’t we? They are also the children of the Prophet Abraham and the Prophet Israel, so you must love them. People should rejoice that they exist. The line of the prophets is still alive, what more do you want? Set those who create corruption among you to one side, but embrace those who love Allah.

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated November 11th, 2014
Adnan Oktar: The ram’s horn will be heard to blow in Jerusalem.
- There was a photograph.
Adnan Oktar: Yes, let me see. Yes, that is the one. From a horn. Is the original picture not available?
- Only this one at the moment.
Adnan Oktar: Yes, a very powerful horn. A wondrous sound will emanate from the Dome of the Mount. The muezzin [caller to prayer] will climb to the mount and will read the call to prayer with a beautiful voice.
Church bells will also start ringing at the presence of the Mahdi, when the imam Mahdi appears. Peals of bells will be heard everywhere. These sounds will tell people that an extraordinary time has come. The horn will be blown for hours, the bells will ring for hours and the call to prayer will be made for hours. Then the imam Mahdi will bring the Ark of the Prophet Moses (pbuh) to Al-Aqsa Mosque with great joy, by praising Allah aloud.
And the cover will be lifted, and when the sacred relics are seen, the Jews will begin loudly shouting La Ilah al-Illa’Alah Muhammadan Rasul’Allah [there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger], insha’Allah. Our prophet (saas) says they will all become Muslims, apart from a very few. All the sacred relics will be there in their original state. All the relics from the dawn of history, from relics from the Prophet Adam (pbuh) to those from the Prophet Noah (pbuh). The inscribed stone tablets of the Prophet Moses (pbuh) will be there. What other sacred relics are there?
- The staff.
Adnan Oktar: part of the staff...
- There is the shirt of the Prophet Moses (pbuh). The ring of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh).
Adnan Oktar: What else? 'Manna.' In a gold box. Since gold does not oxidize.
- Teacher, there will be the original ram’s horn.
Adnan Oktar: Let me see. Yes. That will blow for hours in Jerusalem. When? In the month of Muharram. At what time? At the morning prayer. Everywhere will ring with this sound at first light. Everyone who hears it will realize something extraordinary is happening. The Rabbi who is the head of the Sanhedrin Court said he would bring the Pope when he was here visiting us.
Adnan Oktar: He said we will also descend from the temple together, insha’Allah. I said, ‘I can smell the scent of the Mahdi.’ ‘I have no sense of smell, but I can see and hear the presence of Moshiach, the Mahdi,’ he said.
So Almighty Allah must have shown him. Insha’Allah, Allah will also allow us to see the Mahdi.

Pope Francis’ addresses that have appeared in recent weeks are completely at odds with Christian teaching and the information in the Bible. Christianity has suffered various distortions since the time of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh). However, the facts that God is the Creator of all, that He is Almighty and that every moment is ordained in destiny are essential principles defined in the Bible. Anyone rejecting these essentials would be straying from Christianity and producing his own interpretation that is nowhere in the Bible. While millions of Christians unconditionally believe that God created the universe and all living things, that every moment of life takes place by the Will of God and that all Might and Power lie with God, it is unacceptable for the spiritual leader of that faith to issue statements that are diametrically opposed to that.
When these statements of the Pope are studied line by line, it will clearly be seen they are in conflict with Christianity and the Bible.
(Surely God and the faith are beyond the expressions that appear in the statements of the Pope)
The Pope: “Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve.”
These words of the Pope’s reveal that he is not sufficiently informed about what Darwinism claims and about what science says on the subject. The idea of evolution is completely against Creation. Evolution maintains that life and the universe are the products of chance and that all life evolves by chance. To say that life is based on intelligence, not chance, means to accept the existence of Supreme Intelligence, God, a truth, which all evolutionists passionately oppose.
Science has proved that there is no such thing as ‘an evolving being.’ Fossils are the most concrete scientific findings that provide information about the history of life. More than 400 million fossils have been identified to date and not one of these 400 million shows that life evolved. Living things came into being instantly with all the characteristics they possess (in other words, they were created) and they have not gone through any change (meaning they have not evolved). Since there is not even one single fossil which shows that any life form ever changed in any way, there can be no such thing that could be called an ‘evolving being.’ The Pope should speak according to the scientific evidence available and according to the Gospels, not according to information provided for him or in the light of the promptings of the Darwinist dictatorship. Science proves that evolution never happened. (You can examine fossils that show that evolution never happened from this web site http://www.fossil-museum.com)
The Pope: “When we read about creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so.”
First and foremost, Creation is a fact. Countless branches of science, such as astronomy, biology, paleontology, astrophysics and quantum physics all reveal the truth of Creation.
Someone who is the spiritual leader of more than 1 billion people should set an example to the world with his respect for religion and religious values. What would be most becoming of the Pope is to demonstrate the finest respect when speaking of Creation. The Pope’s language when speaking of our Lord God is not sufficiently respectful. In order for a devout person to show the highest level of respect in speaking of God, he must express his love of God in the most sincere, most candid and unsullied way. The sensitivity in his language is a beautiful sign of the depth of his faith.
These words in the Pope’s speech is in conflict with belief in God and the belief in God in the Gospels. God is the All-Mighty and All-Powerful, and is the Lord of all as all the believers in the Gospels, in the Torah and in the Qur’an know. As the religious leader of the Christians, the Pope needs to preach, in agreement with the Gospels, the scripture in which he believes, that God is Lord of all things on Earth, that He knows what is most secret and that nothing happens beyond His knowledge and power. If the Pope, may God forbid, says that it is wrong to think that God is powerful enough to do anything, then what the Pope is describing is not Christianity, but his own unique belief and thought system.
God is the One Who does everything. God is Lord of all. God is infinitely powerful and mighty. The Pope and everything he says and all those trying to indoctrinate him are all the creations and servants of God and under the dominion of God. There can be no question of life or anything in the universe coming into being or developing coincidentally. Every moment of life, every speck of life, came into being as God’s creations and every speck continue to exist at the behest of God.
The Supreme Power of Creation and the Omnipotence of God is described in detail in the Gospels and in the Qur’an. Various passages from the Gospels on the subject read as follows:
In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him Who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, (Ephesians, 1:11)
… there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. (Romans, 13:1)
The God Who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth … He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth … (Acts, 17:24-26)
… for us there is but one God, … from Whom all things came and for Whom we live; and there is but one Lord, … through Whom all things came and through Whom we live. (1 Corinthians, 8:6)
For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen. (Romans, 11:36)
For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. (Colossians, 1:16-17)
(You can find other passages from the Gospel on the subject by following this link http://www.harunyahya.com/en/books/32242/Pleasant-Words-from-the-Gospel/chapter/8180/The-Titles-of-God-According-to-the-Gospel)
The fact that God is the Creator of everything is related as follows in the Gospel:
So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"... The first man was of the dust of the earth... (1 Corinthians, 15:45-47)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's masterpiece... to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians, 2:8-10)
When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "You made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them." (Acts, 4:24)
... Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it [signs of His existence] plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—His eternal power and Divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. (Romans, 1:19-26)
(You can find other passages from the New Testament on the subject by following this link http://www.harunyahya.com/en/books/32242/Pleasant-Words-from-the-Gospel/chapter/8194/Statements-Regarding-Creation-in-the-Gospel)
If the Pope says, despite all these pronouncements in the Gospels, “No, living things develop by themselves, life progresses by chance and God does not have dominion over all things,” then that is the Pope’s own personal belief, not Christianity.
The Pope: “He created human beings and let them develop according to the internal laws that he gave to each one so they would reach their fulfillment. The creation of the universe was not a singular event, but rather went forward for centuries and centuries, millennia and millennia until it became what we know today.”
These words of the Pope’s contain enormous scientific and religious errors. There is no process in the physical structures and anatomies of living beings which suggests that they themselves developed after their first creation. Our Lord, who creates all things from nothing, also ordains every moment of every entity that He creates. Saying that “a living thing came into being and then continued developing on its own” is to claim that the life form in question developed with its own intelligence and systems to meet its needs. That is both scientifically impossible and a violation of reason and logic. Giraffes, birds, cats, rabbits, ants, dolphins, whales, butterflies, roses, carnations, strawberries and bananas did not one day suddenly think, ‘Would it not be better if I were rather different?’ and set about improving themselves. Each one was created with the characteristics that God saw fit to bestow on them and has survived in the manner He sees fit. To believe that a life form said ‘Let me do this’ and then developed organs, limbs and characteristics for itself is a logical error that even primary school children would find laughable.
If, as the Pope maintains, a life form acquires the features it possesses today over the course of thousands of years, we should be able to see traces of that process in the fossil record. For example, when we look at fossil spiders we should see traces and stages by which they assumed their present forms. We should see abundant spiders with half legs, undeveloped legs, only just learning to spin webs or with missing organs. Yet there is one concrete reality in the spider fossils we see dating back hundreds of millions of years: As with all other life forms, spiders have never changed and never underwent any such process of the kind the Pope describes.
The notion described by the Pope fails to see that God rules all things and is Almighty and Omnipotent. The fact is however that God reveals in the Gospel and in the Qur’an that everything comes into being through His Will, and that all power lies with Him:
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matthew, 19:26)
... Great and marvellous are Your deeds, Lord God Almighty. … (Revelation, 15:3)
Do not be like them, for God knows what you need before you ask Him.(Matthew, 6:8)
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. (Luke, 12:6-7)
For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed [at God’s Sight], and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. (Luke, 8:17)
... “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”(1 Corinthians 10:26)
The Pope’s statements should instill strength in people, not doubt. The Christian world has suffered very serious spiritual and material problems in recent years. The way to overcome these is not by submitting to the indoctrination of the Darwinist dictatorship and unbelievers, but by clinging tightly to God’s commandments, by submitting to the power of God and the destiny God created, by binding oneself with love to Jesus the Messiah (pbuh) and telling everyone that we are in the time of his blessed coming.
Choosing a middle path between religion and irreligion will result, may God forbid, in believers suffering a grave defeat; salvation lies in the path shown by God. If the Pope and the Vatican wish the Christian world to be restored to life and health, young people to return to faith and spirituality to flourish, then they must ask that from God, the Omniscient, not from the Darwinists.
