EXTREMISTS USE SECTS, THE HEADSCARF AND MANY OTHER PRETEXTS TO SET MUSLIMS AGAINST ONE ANOTHER

(Surat al-Ma’ida, 87) "You who believe! do not make unlawful the good things Allah has made lawful for you," Look, this is an explicit warning to the fundamentalists from Allah. The good things. What is the distinguishing feature of fundamentalists? They always make what is lawful, unlawful. Maybe we should say ill-informed people. But this verse refers to those who do this deliberately. The decision is Allah’s, of course. This verse could be referring to them all. Because some people, out of ignorance or fanaticism, make it a sin to laugh. Why should laughter be a sin? Or listening to music? These are things made lawful by Allah. Why should wearing clean clothes be a sin?

(Surat al-Anfal, 73) "Those who are unbelievers are the friends and protectors of one another. " In other words, wicked people watch out for one another and protect and support one another. "If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption” says Allah. What do the fanatics do? They try to set Muslims against one another for the slightest reason. They are against other Muslims for being Alawites or Shiites or Bektashis or Wahhabis. Or because they uncover their heads. They almost describe them as unbelievers because they uncover their heads. Or they dislike a man because of the length of his beard. That is what this verse is about. "If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption" There is both turmoil and corruption now. Muslims have suffered from turmoil, and there is great corruption in the world. This stems from the false attitudes of the fanatics. They have fallen under the meaning of the verse themselves. I see on TV programs how they attack one another using the most amazingly aggressive language. They use very ugly words to attack one another. People with love are very rare. But when we look at the unbelievers, they really do watch out for and protect one another. They are punctilious over that. Allah shows us how they all club together and form an alliance to support one another when something happens to one of them. We see that on TV and everywhere. Unbelievers are unbelievably considerate of one another. But Muslims are not considerate of one another. The result is turmoil and corruption. People have seen that the result of disregarding this is indeed turmoil and corruption.
Let us use this verse in the book we are working on.
