Patience is for life. We will love God for all eternity
Patience is for life. We will love God for all eternity
You will only show patience for this trial for 70 years. But God will make you live happily for all eternity. Those 70 years of training, everything that you endured and showed patience would exalt you, it would make you more beautiful and radiant. Almighty God would of course test your love. He will of course see how devoted you are to God. And He will show that to you as well. You will see how much you love God. You will see how loyal you are. For instance when a person has a beloved one and he commits to his beloved one to death. He/she falls down and gets up and finds him again coming to her/his help, he falls ill and again finds him coming to her/his help, right? One would never leave his beloved one alone. God is the real Beloved One. And under no circumstance, even if 7000 years pass by, one would endure all sufferings. That is a characteristic of a lover. God likes that a lot; one shows patience for the sake of love he feels for Him. That is exactly a sign of love. What is the characteristic of a lover? He doesn’t leave aside his beloved one despite of all sorts of sufferings, all sorts of hardships. And God shows us to which extend we carry that spirit of a lover. That is because we will take the greatest pleasure from the existence of God, His Manifestations in the Hereafter.
Explanation of various verses from Surat Al-Fussilat by Mr. Adnan Oktar
Surat Al-Fussilat; Verse 49
Man never tires of praying for the good and if evil touches him, he despairs and loses hope.
“Man never tires of praying for the good,” says God. Meaning he constantly asks for good things, youth, health, happiness, goods and possessions, he wants to be accepted to the best schools, he wants to have a joyous life. “… and if evil touches him,” meaning if something that doesn’t serve his interests, something that bothers him happens or when he loses his money, his means or health “… he despairs and loses hope.” Meaning he says; “I will never be saved from this point on, I am done, and there is nothing that could be done for me!” He gets lost in despair. What kind of desperation is this? He doesn’t have any hope from God [May God forbid] he says; “God cannot save me from this point on.” That means, in his mind he says; “My connection to God has been severed.” That is a disaster that befalls upon a majority of people. That is a grave disaster. That is why we need to ask for perfect submission to God. We should always be asking for perfect faith and submission to God. A Muslim should constantly ask for that blessing saying; “O Lord, make me a servant of Yours with perfect faith.” That is because it is a great blessing.
Surat Al-Fussilat; Verse 51
When We grant blessing to a man, he turns away and draws aside but when any evil touches him, he is full of endless prayers!
“When We grant blessing to a man, he turns away and draws aside…” So God says that he doesn’t feel thankful and he knows that blessing as his right, doesn’t feel thankful and turns away. What is meant by turning away and drawing aside is that he doesn’t comply with the Qur’an, he doesn’t act in accordance with Islam, he doesn’t feel thankful and he doesn’t give his thanks to God. “… but when any evil touches him, he is full of endless prayers.”Normally such a person doesn’t pray to God. A Muslim constantly prays saying;“O Lord Praise be to You, thanks be to You, increase my faith, increase my knowledge, deem me successful in goodness.” God says such people do not pray to God. When does such a person pray? “… when any evil touches him, he is full of endless prayers!” For instance when an accident happens, when a scourge befalls on him, when he is in trouble, then he remembers Me, says God. “Otherwise, when I give him blessings, he turns away,” He says. From Who? Such people turn away from God when in perfect health. God says; “But when they are in trouble, they are full of endless prayers!” So God says; “I do not want this, I want them to pray to me when they are perfectly well and also when they are in trouble. I am their Lord.” Almighty God says; “I am the One Who gives all those troubles and I am the One Who will take away those troubles. I am the One Who gives them sickness, and I am the One Who heals them. Consequently they should have a constant connection to me.” God says this for all His servants, for all of us.
Surat Al-Fussilat; Verse 52
Say: "Just think. If this is from God and you deny it, who will be in greater error than he who is in open dissent?"
Say; “Just think. If this is from God and you deny it…” Meaning if you do not accept the sufficiency of the Qur’an, if you embrace fanaticism, if you accept bigotry... “.. Just think... who will be in greater error than he who is in open dissent?” God says. This is a statement which refers to bigots and radicals. That is the statement of Almighty God. “… who will be in greater error than he who is in open dissent?” God says that radicals are the ones in greatest error by being in open dissent. They are in open dissent; dissent from what? From the Qur’an. “Just think. If this (the Qur’an) is from God and you deny it…” How do they deny? Through superstitions. You tell them; “God said this,” and they say “No, the command of this verse has been revoked.”When you ask “how did it happen?” They say; “A goat ate it.” The other one says; “people have been made to forget.” “God made it forgotten.” The other one says; “The command of that verse has been annulled.” You say; “there is a verse about this,” they say; “verses are of no importance, but hadiths are.”[May God forbid]. Which hadiths? Made-up hadiths. They have invented a new religion with made-up, fake hadiths, and they call it Islam. Actually, Islam is the religion taught in the Qur’an. Religion that consists of made-up hadiths cannot be called Islam. That is a polytheistic religion.
Surat Al-Fussilat; Verse 53
We will show them Our Signs on the horizon and within themselves until it is clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not enough for your Lord that He is a witness of everything?
“We will show them Our Signs on the horizon and within themselves.”We will show them both in the outside and in themselves. “… until it is clear to them that it is the truth.” We are at those times right now. People started to see clearly that the Qur’an is the Truth. They are seeing the facts leading to faith within themselves and they also see the events taking place in the outer world; for instance they see the incidents that take place in Syria, in Palestine. All these incidents taking place all over the world constitute the outer world and they are seeing the disasters in the outer world. People also saw that the Qur’an, the Command of God is the Truth. When people do not live by the Qur’an, the world is dragged into a disaster. They have seen this. “Is it not enough for your Lord that He is a witness of everything?” The abjad calculation of this part gives the date 1990. That is the date all these incidents started to take place.
