We Should Want the Unity of Islam As a Nation

July 11 th 2013: A9 TV

Adnan Oktar: Egypt is paralyzed. There is no industry and tourism. Nothing is left. It is paralyzed. If there is no art or love but there is suffering, terror and hopelessness in a place, than there won’t be industry, wealth or happiness. Let me tell you, there is nothing left. Help as much as you want; that’s like giving blood to a dead person. Even if you give one thousand liters of  blood, he won’t rise from the dead. In order to rise from the dead, there must be the Mahdi(as), Jesus Christ(pbuh), Islamic Union. There isn’t any other way out of this.

July 13th 2013: A9 TV

Adnan Oktar: They should use a language that embraces all of the Islamic World.
They must always speak of the Unity of Islam, the Islamic Union. “Let us free Egypt, let us free another country…” Rescuing only a region; God will create exiguousness, trouble and afflictions  with this. That is all that will happen. God knows better.

30 th April 2008: Al Baghdadi TV

Adnan Oktar:
 The solution is the unity of all the Islamic World, THE FORMATION OF A GREAT TURKISH-ISLAMIC UNION UNDER TURKISH LEADERSHIP, FOR TURKEY TO MAKE ITS WEIGHT FELT AS A SUPERPOWER IN THE REGION and to protect and watch over the whole Islamic world as its blood brother, to enable them to grow stronger economically and politically in each and every way, to take the Turkish world, almost all of whom are Muslims anyway, under its protection and to put an immediate end to anarchy as a regional superpower. Taking a step toward a great civilization, we must strive to resemble the time of the Prophet Sulayman (as). That is the solution.

August 16th, 2008: Azerbaijan APA News Agency

Adnan Oktar:
 The period that lacks a Turkish Islamic Union will remain a painful one. There isn’t any way other than that. The only solution is the Turkish Islamic Union. Postponing this would put people under great difficulty. Today, the blood that is being shed in Georgia, or the troubles going on in Abkhazia or the pain felt by the Russians depends on the fact that there has not been a Turkish Islamic Union established. IF TURKEY OFFERS TO UNITE WITH AZERBAIJAN AS ONE NATION BUT TWO SEPARATE STATES, THEY WILL IMMEDIATELY AGREE WITH US IN 24 HOURS, INSHA’ALLAH: THIS IS THE SAME FOR SYRIA AND IRAQ. THERE IS NO ISLAMIC STATE, NO TURKISH STATE WHICH DOES NOT ACCEPT THIS.

Love should come to the rescue for appeasing the streets of Pakistan

Love should come to the rescue for appeasing the streets of Pakistan

http://www.dailymailnews.com/2014/09/24/columns-articles/1.php

Pakistan is in turmoil amid street protests demanding the resignation of the current government. The incidents initiated by the opposition on August 14th, under the rubric of Revolutionary March, have turned the country into a theater of combat. Three people died in the clashes while five hundred have been wounded. Although the incidents in the vicinity of the area called the Red Zone which houses government ministries have started to diminish, their impact is still ongoing. The military has taken over control of the area. Right now as the negotiations between the government and the opposition are progressing, arrests are continuing to put an end to the protests. It is reported that hundreds of protestors are being held in custody.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf/ Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) claimed that the 2013 general elections were rigged and requested the resignation of the government. Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahrir-ul-Qadri, on the other hand, declared that he will make a new revolution when he returns to his country from Canada in June and he called his supporters into the streets for public demonstrations.

Before all else, if the opposition claims that there has been fraud they should carry all the evidence they have to that end to the Pakistani courts and if there is a need for reforms in jurisdiction and in the constitution, they should inform the public in this respect and lead the government towards these reforms. But no matter what, all such objections should be carried out with love, in a way that would never harm the integrity of the country. Respecting the results of the polls is one of the main elements of democracy. In the 2013 elections, Nawas Sharif's party won a victory and assumed 189 chairs in the parliament; PTI and PAT became the opposition parties with respectively 34 and 46 chairs in the parliament. This is the third time Prime Minister Sharif assumed the office. Previously he had been overthrown twice in military coups. There have been three military coups in the country after they declared independence in 1947 and right now, Pervez Musharraf is on trial for staging a coup.

It is very important to announce an inaction plan between the parties in Pakistan for the sake of national interests and the unity and solidarity of the country. Turning the streets into a war zone simply because of some political goal or trying to oppress the public is in conflict with the concept of democracy. Of course it is very important for the opposition to have a voice; having a strong opposition means having a strong structure and an advanced democracy for a country. What is unacceptable is the increase in acts of anarchy and violence in the streets. Leaving the parliament and the politicians unable to work owing to unlawful protests is against the universal provisions of law. Every act carried out with violence increases the subsequent use of violence which causes brothers to turn against each other and that is something that would drag any country into disintegration and ruin.

The tradition of suspending democracy should cease being a classical standard for Asian countries as it diminishes the quality of life. An order that could start great reforms in the country and that could strengthen the economy and increase quality of life standards should replace political instability and fragile democracy. Pakistan is very important for other Islamic countries as well. Ensuring stability in this country works in favor of stability in Afghanistan, in the problematic region of Kashmir and even in the Middle East. It also means economic development in the region - especially in India and Iran.

The Pakistani people are invaluable. They deserve to live in brotherhood, peace and love, enjoying an advanced democracy.

The country is not only struggling with political instability but also with the most destructive flood disaster of the last 60 years, which struck the northeast of the country and Punjab province. There is a general infrastructure problem in the country and the people overall are very poor. The national income per capita is only about 1300 dollars.

Along with these issues, Pakistan is also hosting about 1.6 million Afghan refugees right now. The return of the entire Afghan population to their homes until 2015 is targeted.

On the other hand, clashes with the Taliban are still going on in the country. In June, the Taliban attacked the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and the Pakistani Army is organizing many operations in response to that attack. It is estimated that about 572,000 people have been displaced because of military operations. Moreover it has been reported that 6,000 rockets have been fired from Pakistan on to Taliban positions in Afghanistan.

Under these circumstances, it is crucial for all political figures and the entire Pakistani people to be in unity and solidarity. The politics of love should be adopted before all else. The only solution is to uproot the philosophical background of violence in the country through a rational and educative mobilization.

The salvation of the Islamic world will come about through Turkey, where the followers of the Mahdi (pbuh) are in power

The salvation of the Islamic world will come about through Turkey, where the followers of the Mahdi (pbuh) are in power

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated September 02nd, 2014
Turkey has a spiritual aspect. Prime Minister Davutoğlu is a very nice man. He brings peace wherever he goes. Wherever he goes, weeping people cling to him. He is a very loving man because he was raised as an orphan. He loves people and weeps with them. There is a fecundity in his tears. May God not cause him to weep. May He make him smile, instead.
- The new policy that Turkey will follow in the Middle East in this new term means the building of brotherhood between Muslim communities out of a conception that supersedes the various sects.
Adnan Oktar: What is another name for that? The system of the Mahdi. The followers of the Mahdi are in power. Radiant beings are in power. That is why they can never be defeated. The core team numbers no more than 12 people. God will not let them be overcome. Anyone else would already have failed 100 times by now. There is a fecundity, a divine protection. Special protection.
- Our forestry minister generally shares signs leading to faith on that web site.
Adnan Oktar: That will lead to fecundity. God’s mercy will be upon him. Even a very minor-looking endeavor is valuable in the Sight of God. A single world of remembrance of God brings fecundity and well-being with it. A light has come down on our nation. Bediuzzaman also describes the Turkish nation as ‘a devout nation and heroic army.’
- Prime Minister Davutoğlu said in his speech; “The AKP has put an end to 30 years of brother fighting against brother. No force can divide Turkey down sectarian lines. We want peace, not only in our country, but in all neighboring countries, too. The Middle East and the Caucasus are on fire. But there is an island of peace in that sea of fire. We will never turn back from the path of peace.
Adnan Oktar: Excellent. What he says is exactly right, of course. The whole world is engulfed in flames. They see a hope of salvation in Turkey. All the countries of the Middle East will be ruined unless we stand up strongly and intelligently, may God forbid. The Islamic world is currently unable to think right on many issues. They have surrendered to an orthodox conception of Islam and are being ruined by it. Europe and America have turned in on themselves and are just watching the scenes of horror in the Islamic world. Salvation will come from Turkey.

The moral virtue in Anatolia is a model of humanity for the world

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated August 27th, 2014
There is currently a climate of peace in Turkey. They used to say that if the head scarf was allowed, there would be people wearing it everywhere. Then they saw that no such thing happened. Life carries on as normal. Some refused to have any dealings with the president’s wife because she wore the headscarf. They refused to shake the hand of the wife of the prime minister because she wore the headscarf. They refused to say hello or to go to places where she would be. We went through some horrible times, in other words. But there is a relaxed atmosphere on that subject in Turkey now. Ladies with the head scarf and those without are both respected. That is good.
The important thing is to abide by the spirit of the nation. The Turkish nation has a traditional warm spirit of brotherhood and friendship. A relative of Prime Minister Davutoğlu addressed him as ‘My son, Ahmet.’ The expression of love on her face was beautiful. That was a lovely thing to say, expressing the cleanliness and innocence of a child. That is how our people are. That is the mentality that is in power now. The alleged Ergenekon terror organization despised and oppressed a very large part of our nation. But now there is warmth and beauty. However, we must still be careful that fanaticism does not infiltrate us. The warmth and love of Anatolia is a different matter. But they may manage to squeeze a bit of fanaticism in. If they are on their guard against that, then the pure moral virtue of Anatolia is a good model for the world. The pure, clean moral virtue in Anatolia, its conception of love and altruism and brotherhood, is a perfect model of humanity for Europe and Japan and everywhere. It is a model that the whole world will hugely admire. By the will of God, the moral virtue of Anatolia has never been spoiled God. They never managed to spoil it in the Southeast with the PKK. They are all devout, kind, polite and respectful people. We see all their immaculate nature and sweetness on the television. God has preserved them. The presence of the TV has not spoiled them in any way. Various press organizations have also failed to spoil them. Because one can now watch anywhere in the world. Anatolia has preserved its purity and nobility. That has happened for a reason, otherwise it would have been spoiled. But God did not allow it. He preserved this community as a model for the world. That model of virtue will now prevail across the world. An ethical ready-made model that everyone abides by.

A Ramadan when Muslims don't fight Muslims…

A Ramadan when Muslims don't fight Muslims…

I would like to start by saying ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ to all my Muslim brothers and sisters around the world. I pray to my Lord that, this holy month which encompasses the Night of Qadr, the night when the Quran, the guide to all of humanity was sent down, and which is ‘...better than a thousand months’ (Surat al-Qadr, 3),’ will bring peace, happiness and welfare to the entire Islamic world.
The holy month of Ramadan carries so many beauties and blessings, and it would be almost impossible to list them all here. In this sacred month, Muslims throughout the vast Islamic geography become united, put behind the resentments from the past and embrace the feelings of brotherhood, alliance, love, compassion and affection. The poor and the needy are taken care of through the iftar gatherings and the aid of charity organizations and benefactors, creating a blessed environment for all the parties involved.
The month of Ramadan has very positive effects on people’s souls. The crime rates drastically drop during this month in the Muslim world. Many avoid telling lies, committing sins and shun any activities that Allah wouldn’t approve of. They feel more empowered and inspired to think and act better. Fasting makes them ponder matters that they never gave a thought to before, and this creates a fear of God Allah and a longing for the Hereafter in their hearts. They get closer to religion and many of them continue to live a more devout and sincere life even after Ramadan ends. Therefore, Ramadan is a month of endless blessings and goodness.
However, the Islamic world has started this Ramadan amidst wars, conflicts and poverty. We started last Ramadan by praying that all the pains, suffering and wars that the innocent people of the Islamic world had to endure would end soon. This year, Muslims are facing even bigger difficulties. In the Middle East particularly, brothers have turned against brothers and Muslims are fighting Muslims. Innocent people are being killed for no reason, forced out of their homes and countries, our historical heritage is being destroyed and things escalate further with every passing day.
However our Lord said in the 4th verse of Surat as-Saff , “Allah loves those who strive in His Way in ranks like well-built walls”, and made it very clear that it is an obligation for Muslims to be united. Muslims are the guardians of each other, and as they are the friends of Allah, the helpers of Allah, they have the sublime moral values to bring peace and justice to the world. It is for this reason that Muslims need to love, embrace and help each other. It is important that Muslims foil the plot of Satan immediately to bring an atmosphere of unity and love to the Muslim world regardless of any ethnic, racial, sectarian or other differences. Our Lord said in the 103rd article of Surah Al ‘Imran , “Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate …” and ordered Muslims to be united, help, love and cooperate with each other and intellectually disperse the evil results of hostility.
Allah created destiny and He showed us the way of salvation. The only thing we need to do is follow His words, and bring love and compassion to the Islamic world. Allah commanded Muslims to set aside all their differences and love and help each other. We pray that this Ramadan will be a month when Muslims stop pointing guns at each other, and foil the plot of  Satan by extinguishing  the fires of hostility and strife and becoming more loving, compassionate, understanding and more reasonable towards each other.

ISIS and other groups must be reconciled, the jihad fatwa of Al-Sistani must definitely be removed

ISIS and other groups must be reconciled, the jihad fatwa of Al-Sistani must definitely be removed

ISIS AND OTHER GROUPS MUST BE RECONCILED,
THE JIHAD FATWA OF Al-SISTANI MUST  DEFINITELY BE REMOVED

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated June 14 &16 th, 2014

Adnan Oktar: Turkish, Kurdish, Circassian does not matter. We need to reconcile the parties that fight, make them brothers and render them a single force. All the human races are the sons of Prophet Adam. We take measure when a Kurd is martyred. We take measures when an Arab is martyred, a Turk is martyred, for all of them. We prevent those who seek to be tyrants but our main purpose is to reconcile them, to make them all brothers. For instance, we do not take sides in Egypt. We want all of them to reconcile and to make them friends. This is their gravest error; they form groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and others. This is not acceptable. We need to be unitary. When you say, “He is not one of us”, you call a Muslim who prays five times a day an outsider. This is a kind of sickness. It brings infertileness, it brings evil.

In one verse of the Qur'an God says: "The believers are brothers, so make peace between your brothers." (Surah Hujurat, 10)

Adnan Oktar: Of course. The provision of Almighty God is explicit; “Do not be like those who split up and differed." Some call themselves “ISIS”, some call themselves Shia, others call themselves “Muslim Brotherhood”. You are all Muslims. There is one God, we believe in the same Prophet, we have the same qibla. La ilaha illaAllah Muhammadan Rasullullah. That is it; you are brothers. If you consider the rest as an issue that divides brothers, this is unacceptable. Shia, Wahhabi, Sunni, it does not make any difference; they are all pure Muslims. Those having flaws will be corrected.
----------

The Jihad fatwa of al-Sistani must be absolutely removed and sedition must be defused

They should remove the fatwa issued for our Shia brothers, the jihad fatwa. If Sistani issued it, someone else should remove it. Right? Did not our Prophet (saas) make contracts? Almighty God says that when  sedition arises among believers, reconcile them and defuse the tension. He does not say, “Set them against one another.” They commit cheap heroism. I have pity for those Shia young people. They fill them into dump trucks, those brave young people. Moreover the Shia youngsters are very pious. They fervently love Hazrat Hasan, Hazrat Husayin and Ali. They are lovers of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Isn’t it a shame, isn’t it a pity?
--------------

They immediately revoke this  jihad fatwa. One needs to think reasonably. These people are young people, both sides are pure Muslims. Shia and Sunni, but both sides have some lame aspects. You could say, “You are brothers, have you gone insane?” “You can talk and reach an agreement.” If someone says, “We will in any case invade here”, you can withdraw. You can withdraw the youngsters. What is the point of letting them to be chopped up? What have those who have caused the martyrdom of thousands of Shia youngsters gained? They are in love with God, they are in love with our Prophet (saas). Don’t they say, “Allah is the One, and Mohammad is His messenger?” They do; that is it, it is over. How can such Muslims be martyred like this? They chopped up Shia youngsters and put them in dumptrucks. While there is sedition, one does not clash with those who want to invade. Sedition can be diffused. Once it is diffused, you can talk with those who invade reasonably. You can tell them who the real owners of the invaded lands are. If you ask them, “Is invasion lawful?”, they would say, “Yes, you are right.”

- Teacher, God says that believers must not dispute with one another.

Adnan Oktar: Those who have been martyred are all Muslims. This is a plot of satan. Why are they deceived by this plot? This is very disturbing.
-------------

Shia, Sunni, Wahabi, they all say, “God is One.” They should not oppress one another.

Teacher, ISIS has designated three points for the police and soldiers who served in the Iraq army where they can repent. It is alleged that ISIS forgives those who repent and trains them for their own service.

- Teacher, they martyred 1,700 police officers today.

Adnan Oktar: What is wrong with those who say they are Shia? What do they do? Don’t they say, “God is the One.” They do. Don’t they say, “Mohammad is His Messenger?” They do. Then this issue is over. What do you want more?

But our Prophet (saas) has foretold that these incidents that would happen in the End Times. Those with black banners would appear under any circumstances. In any case Sufyan would appear in Syria. Our Prophet (saas) calls it, “The son of the liver-eater.” Notice that there is the Sufyan, and also the son of Sufyan would appear. The son of the liver-eater. In the hadith it is related that he will be very cruel.
Some hadith are open to interpretation. The hadith reads, “There will be a great movement there.” Some interpret this movement as an earthquake while some interpret it as a plague or a war. Today 100,000 have died in Damascus. In that time, they thought that so many people could only die with an earthquake. Those narrating the hadith make comments. A mass murder is being foretold in the hadith. The right interpretation is a war.

Tribalized States Or Tribes That Are Effectively States In The Middle East

Tribalized States Or Tribes That Are Effectively States In The Middle East

Tribes are a social organization based on family lines and can be seen in almost all the Arab lands. Tribes are also the most important elements in social life and even in politics in Yemen.

The spirit of tribal solidarity confers advantages on their members. It is also easier, by means of tribes, to relocate and manage human and animal populations and run large territories. That is why tribes have managed to survive in Arab lands from the agricultural period down to today’s modern era.

One simply cannot see this social structure in Europe today; groups based on family lines lost all validity following the Industrial Revolution and with the foundation of nation states on the road to democracy.

In the Middle East, however, the state’s use of tribal populations and authority in order to strengthen its control over the people has led to tribes becoming even stronger. Tribes whose authority is made use of are usually repaid by leaders with prestige and important posts within the state.

As a result, tribalism is today even more powerful. As tribes become stronger they begin shaping political life, and they transform themselves into quasi-states. When the authority of a leader that binds tribes together is lost, as happened in post-Saddam Iraq and in Libya after the overthrow of Qaddafi, they enter into conflicts of interest and start fighting one another.

One can see similar developments in Yemen, a part of the Middle East. Many party leaders are also leaders of the tribes they belong to. The overwhelming influence of tribes on the state is still continuing decades after the revolution of September 1962. For example, fifty-eight percent of the Yemeni parliament headed by Abdullah al Ahmar in 1969 consisted of tribal leaders. As the tribal leaders grow older, they are replaced by their children, and the system carries on. The influence of tribes is not limited to politics, by the way; important figures in the military are also leaders or members of tribes.

Tribes also try to increase their influence and power in an unjust manner by means of favoritism. Tribal leaders are generally even able to step outside party policies in order to strength their own influence. Every tribe can organize and protect its own territory, much like a nation-state. That leads to enormous competition in the country; that competition leads to divisions, and those divisions lead to various conflicts.

One can see two tribes with the same language, ethnicity or religion fighting to the death in Yemen. That of course means a serious breakdown in state authority in Yemen, as well as in peace and unity.

It is a violation of Qur’anic morality for members of Muslim tribes to be in conflict. Allah speaks of family relations, blood ties and tribes in the Qur’an, although Muslim unity is stressed as more important than all these. According to the Qur’an, all believers are brothers, no matter what their gender, race, color or tribe, and they have a duty to treat one another justly.

In the Qur’an, Allah commands believers to be united, to stand together in ranks against disbelief, to regard and love one another as brothers, to be compassionate, forgiving and protective toward one another and to strongly avoid fragmentation and division. Believers have a duty to be united according to the Qur’an. As stated in one verse:

Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate. Remember Allah’s blessing to you when you were enemies and He joined your hearts together so that you became brothers by His blessing. You were on the very brink of a pit of the Fire and He rescued you from it. In this way Allah makes His signs clear to you, so that hopefully you will be guided. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 103)

From this and similar verses, and from the Qur’an as a whole, we can see that Muslims have an obligation
  • To be united;
  • To be bound to one another with brotherly love and affection;
  • Not to argue and fall out;
  • To be one another’s friends and guardians;
  • To watch out for and protect one another under all circumstances;
  • To counsel one another;
  • And to wage an intellectual struggle against denial in ranks like well-built walls.
Any contrary form of behavior, that is
  • Being divisive instead of inclusive;
  • Not treating one’s Muslim brothers with love and affection;
  • Not being forgiving and protective toward one’s Muslim brothers;
  • And not standing side by side with other Muslims in the intellectual struggle against denial is forbidden.
The Yemenis must abandon divisions and differences and remember the fact that all Muslims are “brothers.” They must act as a role model to the world with the moral values this spiritual brotherhood brings with it. The spirit of brotherhood between believers is a gift and a blessing from Allah; Yemenis must therefore give thanks to Allah for this blessing and not forget His command “not to separate.”

In verse 13 of Surat al-Hujurat, Almighty Allah states that He has created differences between people as a means for them to come to know one another, not as a source of conflict. Allah wants Muslims to compete in good deeds, not to fight each other because of their differences. Members of tribes in Yemen must begin at once working for the good of all Muslims. Only then can Yemen strengthen its democracy as a secure and prosperous country.

A report concerning Mr. Adnan Oktar broadcast on the Israeli channel i24

A report concerning Mr. Adnan Oktar broadcast on the Israeli channel i24 (05.04.2014)

A report concerning Mr. Adnan Oktar broadcast on the Israeli channel i24
Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated April  05th, 2014

Didem Ürer: A report about you was carried last Sunday on the new international Israeli news channel i24, which broadcasts in English and French. The report, which included extracts from an interview with you here, said that you are a well-known author with more than 300 books to your name, that you discuss religious affairs in your chats on A9 TV, that you believe in friendship and closeness between everyone, irrespective of their faith and that in the eyes of the Qur’an the Jews have the right to live in Israel.

I think the video clip is ready.

There is a television channel in Istanbul that broadcasts to all faiths and that makes no distinction between them. We are now going to show an interview in Istanbul conducted by Maël Benoliel. This TV station is Turkish but it broadcasts also in English and can be received all over the world by satellite. The programs on the channel basically consist of conversations on religious matters, and women wearing loose clothing also appear on them. There is one person at the station’s head: Adnan Oktar.

The person who believes in dialogue and friendship among people on the programs he produces is a Sunni Muslim with a new conception of Islam. Under that conception of Islam, jihad is prohibited and the Jews have the right to live in Israel.

“It is a matter of moments for all people to live together happily and for Christians, Jews and Muslims to live as brothers.”

A large number of rabbis, including Chief Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, and Israeli politicians have taken part in these conversations with Adnan Oktar. In addition to his TV broadcasts, Adnan Oktar also writes books. To date he has penned more than 300.

Adnan Oktar says that he has received death threats from radical groups.

“In order for people to grasp my line, they need to grasp the line of the Qur’an and the Torah. Love and peace are commanded in the Torah and the Qur’an. Some people have threatened me because I protect and watch over the Jewish people, tell people of the truths of the Qur’an and say that the Qur’an is all we need. That is a mark of honor for me.”

Adnan Oktar: That is very good. Masha’Allah.

The reason why we emphasize the system of the Mahdi is that it is the sole path to the salvation of the world

The reason why we emphasize the system of the Mahdi is that it is the sole path to the salvation of the world

The reason why we emphasize the system of the Mahdi is that it is the sole path to the salvation of the world
Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated April  08th, 2014

(Viewer’s letter): "You think of nothing but the system of the Mahdi. As if Islam was solely based on the system of the Mahdi.”

The most important subject is Islamic Unity. Wherever you look in the Qur’an, it always speaks of the spirit of the system of the Mahdi. Now, let me open a page at random. Surat al-Hijr.

Look, it says "He added, ‘What is your business, messengers’?”

"They said, ‘We have been sent to a people who are evildoers – with the exception of the family of Lot’,”

Look, these people have come like the followers of the Mahdi. They preach and have come to eliminate the system of the antichrist. Because the system of the antichrist reigned over the people of Lot. They came to eradicate the system of the antichrist.

"all of whom We will save, except for his wife. We have decreed her to be one of those who stay behind.’ When the Messengers came to the family of Lot, he said, ‘You are people we do not know’.”
The people of Hazrat Khidr and the angels.

"They said, ‘We have come to you with what they had doubts about. We have brought you the truth and we are certainly truthful men’.”

These people are the followers of the mahdi of the time. The movement of the mahdi of the time. The people of Lot were eliminated through the movement of the Mahdi. Their harm was overcome. Since the system of the antichrist currently prevails in the world, the most important issue is the system of the Mahdi.

For example, the PKK [terror organization] is a movement of the antichrist. The system of the antichrist is afflicting our mothers and sisters out in the Southeast. And the antichrist wants Muslims to be divided. He wants to take our brothers away from us. But there is the movement of the Mahdi against it. The system of the antichrist is trying to cover this up. The system of the Mahdi reveals all these truths and wants to neutralize the other and overcome it.

There is a clash between the systems of the antichrist and the Mahdi in Egypt. And also in Iraq and Syria. What is the force that is destroying Syria? The system of the antichrist. And the movement that is trying to stop it and to bring Muslims together is the system of the Mahdi. The system of the Mahdi is therefore the most important event since the creation of the world. Ever since Hazrat Adam (pbuh) the prophets have been referring to the Mahdi. The prophets Noah, Abraham and Moses all referred to the Mahdi. Our Prophet (pbuh) tells us we can find this in the books of the old prophets. God tells Muslims that they will reign again as the old ones did. He says that Islam will reign again, as in the time of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) and the Prophet Dhu’lQarnayn.

God reveals in the Qur’an that Muslims can marry women from the People of the Book

God reveals in the Qur’an that Muslims can marry women from the People of the Book
Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated February  21th, 2014

Adnan Oktar: The People of the Book are specially protected by Almighty God. There is a verse; God tells us to treat them nicely and in a compassionate way and God says that we can marry their women. God says that we can invite them to dine or eat with them. He tells us that they can come to our houses and we can go to theirs. God tells us to be their friends and marry them. Look: marry the People of the Book!

But you say this: “Master what business do you have with the Jews?” There will be Islamic Union, and Jews and Christians will all be in it. There will be an alliance with Christians. The system of the Mahdi will prevail. Look; this rabbi who came here is waiting for the Moshiach. He is waiting for the Moshiach with enthusiasm and his whole community is waiting for the Moshiach too. What is Moshiach’s duty? Saving the world from irreligiousness, Darwinism and materialism; turning the world into a fair ground. Ending all pains. Both the Moshiach (Mahdi) and the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) have come. They will both appear very soon. The reason behind the incidents in Turkey is the system of the Mahdi. It is nice that a Jewish rabbi came to Turkey. Show some compassion; they are servants of God. They have remained loyal to the Prophet Moses (pbuh) for four thousand years. They never abandoned their faith. They were careful about right and wrong. They said that God is One. They believe in all prophets and most of the rabbis that I have talked to say that they believe our Prophet (pbuh) as a prophet. Therefore enmity towards Jews, Christians or hatred towards Buddhists or atheists; it is wrong. It is unreasonable and cruel. God could have created you as an atheist, a Jew or a Christian. God has created you as a Muslim, thanks be to God. But our duty towards them is told in the Qur’an. We must be compassionate and loving towards them. But some are siding with cruelty. This is wrong.

Turkey: Playing dirty will serve none

With the mention of terms like manipulated polls, one-party system, dictatorship and coups, the next thing that comes to one’s mind is the Middle East. This image has become so ingrained in the psyche of certain elements in various countries of this region that if a move is made to break the mold; those favoring status quo — obviously to pursue their selfish interests — try to push the country into chaos using all means possible.

A slight mishandling of an issue turns the government into a punching bag for people who like to construe an administration’s weakness or mistake as its failure. Instead of adopting a reconciliatory approach, efforts are made to overthrow the government.

That is exactly what is currently happening in Turkey. Despite a strong democratic past that saw Turkey emerging as a regional powerhouse, it continues to show those unpleasant traits perhaps unique to this region. The same old rotten mentality is evident since the anti-graft operation of Dec. 17, 2013. Instead of going to the polls with fresh ideas, this mindset stresses the need for getting results through the use of undemocratic methods. Such an attitude is indicative of a society wherein democracy has not taken roots and which does not know how to respect the aspirations of the masses. A similar debate is under way in Turkey. Another issue that has become a must during such debates is the presence of a parallel administrative structure in the form of Fetullah Gulen community.

Let us first discuss the much-trumpeted anti-graft operations that sent shockwaves around the world so much so that on the basis of this operation, political pundits are predicting the demise of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government. Only time will tell how justified these claims are.

This writer does not wish to indulge into the details of those anti-graft operations that saw names of some ministers’ children and top officials coming to the fore and the questioning of the trade ties between Turkey and Iran. Despite Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan’s repeated assurances that these corruption charges would be thoroughly probed, the anti-government camp continues to raise a furor. In such a situation, it has become all the more important to analyze the situation carefully, as it is affecting Turkey.

An unbiased study of the post-Dec.17 events reveals that apart from the corruption allegations, many actions taken by certain quarters look rather conspiratorial. Interestingly, as many would assume only a single group could not be blamed for those.

Such a phenomenon is not new to Turkey, as it has endured years of a parallel state within a state. That deep state was unable to conceal its illegal activities in the past and everyone was aware of it apart from its name and knew that it manifested itself in targeted killings and other terror activities. However, this time around the situation is different.

Today the government is facing an alliance of elements of all hues. This “common opposition” is not acting as an organized entity with a well-defined hierarchy. It is more of a marriage of convenience between various anti-government forces against one common enemy. They appear to be following the principle: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It is, unfortunately, always easy to establish such an alliance in the Middle East, where opponents always seek to bring down the government rather than bring in democracy. Such alliances easily gain support from natural opponents who do not know one another, from inside or outside the country.

The trend of opposition for the sake of opposition in the region and the Muslim world has been a major cause of our backwardness and social turmoil. Creative criticism helps a group or country grow. The right course is always to support the truth. Supporting the truth is possible by always concentrating on, and appreciating positive aspects while criticizing the negative ones. Under absolute opposition the ability to analyze a situation objectively is compromised and is replaced by an ultra-partisan spirit. The only outcome is conflict.

It is due to this ultra-partisan spirit; some people are unable to come up with an objective analysis of Turkey’s situation. The geographical location of Turkey is unique, as it is simultaneously part of the Middle East and Europe. It has stretched out to all countries, from Myanmar to Somalia. It is a devout, democratic, libertarian but also conservative country.

As a democratic Islamic country, it has to be a role model and it goes without saying that it is very difficult to be the premier of such a country. Establishing internal and external equilibrium when there is war and conflict all around, bringing in democratization while strengthening the economy, building bridges and dams while at the same time adjusting the country to EU criteria and putting an end to terror, the country’s greatest problem, is not easy.

Claims about the presence of a parallel structure in Turkey have caused considerable damage to the ties between the government and the Gulen community. It is true that some members of the community have joined in hands with other anti-government forces but one cannot blame the entire community for the actions of a few individuals. These individuals must not play into the hands of anti-Turkey forces whose primary aim is to bring down the government and to destabilize the country.

An unstable Turkey would spell disaster for the entire region, which is already up in flames. It is high time the media and the opposition forces acted wisely and adopted a reconciliatory approach, as it would benefit all. If we want peace and stability in the Middle East — and the world — we must use the language of love.
