The closing of a mosque in Baghdad is the
characteristic of antichrist

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated November  23th, 2013

Didem Ürer: They closed the mosques in Baghdad after the Friday prayer in order to protest the attacks on Sunni clergymen in Iraq. It has been announced that if the attacks on Sunni clergy continue, the mosques will remain closed until further notice.

Adnan Oktar: In Iraq. Do you see the ferocity of the End Times? Do you see the lack of the system of the Mahdi? All those scholars cannot find a solution. There are scholars and experts all over the place, and religious experts of all kinds. There are political leaders of all kinds. There are political measures available. There are Muslim unions. But without the Mahdi the tragedies just continue. Mosques are being closed in the End Times. This is one such disaster. The antichrist has mosques closed down. They have submitted to the antichrist. How can you close mosques down? The closure of mosques is one of the features of the system of the antichrist. They may be closed down in an emergency, but there is no emergency here. Is closing mosques down going to resolve problems? There are Muslims in their homes and out on the streets. Muslims are not only to be found in mosques. There are Muslims in the markets and the shops. The answer is the system of the Mahdi. They pretend not to see it now, but they will realize one day. God will teach them with his name of al-Jabbar [the Compeller]. Almighty God will force them to learn. They can try avoid it as much as they like, but they will have to accept it one day.
